David, the visionary founder and managing director of The DEJ Group LLC, spearheads an executive search and recruiting firm that is deeply committed to identifying the true needs of various organizations and connecting diverse talent to inclusive companies. His firm uniquely champions the cause of enhancing economic inclusion by promoting and onboarding a broad spectrum of candidates from underrepresented communities to executive positions for various companies.
With an impressive track record spanning over 26 years, David has held pivotal roles in diverse businesses, harnessing the power of technology and human resources to drive exceptional outcomes. He offers his extensive expertise in business development, talent acquisition, and innovative business modeling to a range of companies, from startups to large-scale enterprises. David’s fervent advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, particularly within the technology sector, is a driving force behind his focus on executive search.
Apart from his entrepreneurial pursuits, David dedicates his time to educating future leaders as an adjunct college instructor and faculty member. Over 17 years, he has been instrumental in guiding adult learners returning to academia to achieve their degree aspirations.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management. He is currently completing a MA in Human Resource Management at Concordia University – St. Paul. His diverse professional journey includes significant roles at notable Twin Cities organizations such as Andersen Windows and Doors, The National Marrow Donor Program, Best Buy, Imation Corporation, Smead Manufacturing, and Ambient Consulting.
